In home West Seattle newborn session

Miss Mia joined the sweetest family. Not only did I get to support her parents during their labor and birth, I got to capture her newborn photos shortly after. Her big brother, Mateo, was so excited for a visitor, but less so for photos. A very typical toddler!

So we made it work. Mateo got to eat a snack while we captured some detail shots of baby girl. Then we gathered the whole family for a few photos, followed by a bit more play time with Mateo. I like to pull the older sibling in for bits of time and give them breaks as needed. Snacks, a coloring book or time with a favorite toy are good for these moments. Meantime, I take advantage of the baby on their own or shots with each parent individually.
