About me
Christina Chacharon
Ketchikan and Seattle Family & Newborn Photographer
Hi! I’m Christina (she/her). Capturing special moments for families through photography makes my soul come alive. One of my biggest joys in life is supporting new parents, whether it be through doula support or providing a positive, intimate experience for newborn photos. Welcoming another human into your family is such a raw, vulnerable time, I see you. While I haven’t gone through childbirth myself, I’ve supported over 60 births as a doula and over a hundred families in the postpartum period. If you’re worried about showing up as a perfect family for photos, don’t be. Be yourself. That is perfect. And that’s exactly how I want to capture you. I often have a hard time narrowing down the photos to deliver from a session because I never know which little expression your child makes might be the one that means the most to you. So I don’t limit which photos you receive. I often find myself in a newborn session, kneeling next to the birthing parent as they feed their baby, asking about their birth experience. Checking to see if they have any questions about calming or burping their baby. Or even how to safely swaddle a baby. For me, photography isn’t just about the pictures, it’s about connecting with all the families I meet.
Some other bits about me - I’m a born and raised Pacific Northwest girl but recently relocated to Ketchikan, Alaska where my partner is from. I spend the majority of my time in Alaska now but travel back to Seattle frequently. I love all things outdoors, wood working, family time, and of course photography. My partner and I are currently renovating his childhood cabin into our off-grid dream home. It’s an adventure for sure and each day it keeps us on our toes. I have a 6 year old black lab named Bear and he is currently living his best life in Alaska with swimming daily and trying to catch all the fish! I worked in tech for over 10 years but finally followed my dream of being a photographer and doula. And you know what, I’ve never been so happy.
I cannot wait to meet you and your family. Let’s build some memories together.
